The role of Ellen G. White within Seventh-day Adventism

Through its leadership and for many years, the Seventh-day Adventist Church has made the claim that it was the writings of Ellen White that led our denomination to change from its once solid stand of non-trinitarianism (this was whilst Ellen White was alive) to the trinitarian view of God that it later took after she died. This, so our leadership says, is especially with regards to what she wrote in ‘The Desire of Ages’. We must therefore, even if only for the latter reason, study to find out exactly what she did write concerning the Godhead. This is one of the prime reasons for the trinity studies on this website.

In this series “The role of Ellen G. White within Seventh-day Adventism” we shall discover who Ellen White was and how her writings should be regarded in relation to the Scriptures.
